What We Do
Since the early 70s the directors of Global Ecotechnics have been engaged in the development and application of innovative complex systems harmonizing the worlds of technology and the global biosphere.
Global Ecotechnics Corporation is a private company with experiemce in (a) applied research and development in materially-closed life systems (biospheres); (b) ecotechnic engineered agriculture and rainforest systems; (c) management of ecological/cultural demonstration projects world-wide; and (d) providing educational programs about biospheres, ecotechnics, and cultures.
In addition to having designed, built and operated the landmark Biosphere 2 project — largest laboratory for global ecology ever created — together we have designed, built and operated numerous other globally oriented projects around the world ranging in scale from 1000 acres rainforest enrichment project in Puerto Rico, to a 5000 acre pastoral regeneration project in Australia, to a center for arts from around the planet in London.
OUR GOAL
To apply our unique comprehensive biospheric design skills toward the development of technologies that help us to co-evolve with our Earth’s biosphere, such as sustainable agricultural and horticulture systems, air and water purification systems, and environmental monitoring systems.
Educational programs in biospherics are important to achieving our goal of developing this emergent interdisciplinary field of study. Toward that end, several of our directors give talks and seminars in global ecology, biospherics, and sustainable comprehensive design to schools, universities, institutions and private companies interested in this expanding field.
